By green initiative we intend to instill a sense of environmental responsibility into new generations of citizens, as our future depends on protecting the health of our future builders and our planet. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Few of the green initiatives are;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Grow Plant\/ Tree:<\/span><\/b><\/p>

\"\"Such activity imparts valuable lessons to students about germination of seed, importance of trees in our life, nutrition etc. Green campus provides healthy school environment that directly affect the attendance, concentration and performance of students and staff.

Save Water<\/span><\/b>: In many routine ways we promote to save and reuse water in your school;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

  • Turn off the taps if not using<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  • Use the excess water in school\u2019s garden<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  • Report and treat leaks and damages.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  • Role plays\/ Skits to sensitize\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  • School Prefects to take in charge of this responsibility<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Save Energy<\/span><\/b>: The school offers well-ventilated and full of sunlight classrooms, that ultimately helps in saving electricity. Same as saving water we engage ourselves in saving energy by some of the routine habits;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

    • Switch off lights whenever we leave the classroom or staff room.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
    • School Prefects to ensure lights and fans are switched off when rooms\/ labs are empty.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
    • Make signs to remind people to turn off the lights when leaving a room.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
    • Drama\/Role plays\/ Skits to sensitize<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
    • Use of energy-efficient light bulbs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      Motivate Waste Free Lunch: <\/span><\/b>We promote all to eat healthy and have no trash to throw away when you\u2019re done. If there are any leftovers, then it should not the dumped in dustbins.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

      Art Projects from Waste: <\/span><\/b>Students are taught to prepare various art works from waste materials.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

      Raising Student Awareness:<\/span><\/b> We host number of events to generate awareness on various topics like; <\/span>Solid Waste Management, Say No To Plastic, Save Trees Save Earth, Water Cycle, Reduce Reuse Recycle, Save Birds, Stop Pollution, Save Wildlife, Save Petroleum, Use Clay Pots etc <\/span><\/b>by poster making competitions, puppet shows, nukkad nataks and talks.<\/span><\/p>

      Eco Club: <\/span><\/b>It comprises of students interested in carrying out activities like planting and growing seeds in the garden, feeding birds and arranging for bird feeder, arranging eco quizzes, arranging trash pickup day, preparing eco notice board.<\/span><\/p>

      Celebrating Days<\/span><\/b> like;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

      • WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION DAY<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>

        Compost<\/span><\/b>: Here we collect all the biodegradable waste in the earthen compost bin and process it to convert the waste into organic fertilizer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
